This Week’s Community Prompt 🌸
Grief can be heavy, but sometimes the smallest moments can bring a spark of light back into our week. A kind word, a funny memory, a quiet moment of peace, these are worth holding on to.
So today we ask:
What is one small moment this week that made you smile through the grief?
Did someone say something that made you laugh when you least expected it?
Was there a simple comfort, like your favorite song, a pet’s snuggle, or a meal you enjoyed, that brought you a little ease?
Or maybe you noticed a tiny sign or reminder of your loved one that felt like a gift in the middle of it all?
Share with us in the comments. Your story might be the reminder someone else needs that joy can live alongside grief.

This week, what made me smile through the grief wasn’t a single small thing, it was the way the HGHS team showed up for me. They helped me get my shit together when I felt like I couldn’t carry one more thing on my own. It wasn’t glamorous or perfect; it was people I love stepping in with ideas, reminders, and encouragement right when I was starting to spiral.
It reminded me that community isn’t just a word we toss around, it’s the real, messy, honest kind of love that shows up in the middle of grief and chaos. And that kind of support is its own kind of joy.
